Relax and unwind with this recipe for an exotic mojito, which offers the perfect blend of cool mint and citrus tang. And better still, you can also make it with or without rum, so you can provide mocktails for teetotallers and the younger members of the family too!
Ingredients for one mojito:
- Juice of one lime
- 1 tsp granulated sugar
- small handful of mint leaves, plus extra for garnish
- soda water
- crushed ice
- 60 ml white rum (optional)
- tall serving glass
Method:
Place the mint leaves, sugar and lime juice in a sturdy glass or small jug and ‘muddle’ them either by crushing them with the end of a rolling pin, or using a cocktail muddler if you have one.
Pour into a tall glass and add a handful of crushed ice, then add in the rum if desired.
Stir with a spoon, top up with soda water, garnish with the extra mint – and enjoy!
