November 10th 2019
On Sunday 10th November Bypass Nurseries welcomed local children’s author Clare Beckett to share with us her new children’s book, Penelope Polar’s Plastic Journey.
We had lots of young visitors join Clare and the staff at Bypass Nurseries for a morning of storytelling, an exclusive book signing and other activities around the important topic of how we can all reduce our plastic waste. There was also a colouring competition and one lucky child won a free book!
We had the pleasure of being able to donate a signed copy of Penelope Polar’s Plastic journey to Capel St Mary CEVC Primary School, and Capel St Mary Library.
We were also pleased to be joined by a whole host of stalls, including Capel St Mary Library, Stour Valley Apiaries and a new free ethical magazine called Zero Waste Now. Mid Suffolk and Babergh district council were also on hand to answer any questions our customers had on recycling and composting.
We look forward to hosting events like this in the new year. To be the first to hear, like us on Facebook and always check our website for more information!
